By becoming a member you will:
- Help us to represent the views of people with lived experience of mental distress and addiction and advocate for our human rights at a national level.
- Support an organisation that is committed to the development of peer support services in the mental health and addictions sector.
- Be the first to get information on workshops, events or new resources
- Stay in touch with us through our regular newsletters.[LW1]
Conditions of membership:
- Complete an application form.
- Membership is free but we welcome any koha or donation. Please indicate whether or not you require a receipt.
- You do not have to be a member to use our peer support services or participate in a training course or workshop.
- The trustees of Balance Aotearoa reserve the right to decline an application for membership.

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter your name and contact details, we'll be unable to add you to the membership database.
We keep your information safe by storing it securely and only allowing certain staff to see it. We will keep your information until you request that it be removed, at which point we securely destroy it.
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
