Removing Barriers is a network of Whanganui based organizations including Balance Whanganui; Pathways; Ngā Tai o Te Awa; Whanganui District Health Board and Public Health; Supporting Families; and Te Oranganui Iwi Health Authority who work collaboratively in the mental health sector to affect change. As a collective they aim to influence change in attitudes in the wider community toward people impacted by mental health and addiction, by implementing strategies that aim to broaden public knowledge and encourage understanding of the issues these people face.

Balance Whanganui focuses on the empowerment and development of the individual, encouraging self care through individual and group activities and recovery education. We focus on the growth of our relationships. This approach means we should see a movement away from professional service relationships towards the development of relationships found in healthy communities.

Te Pou is New Zealand's National Centre of Mental Health Research and Workforce Development. We are based in Auckland and Hamilton, and have three work programmes: workforce, research and MH-SMART.service user workforce development is also one of Te Pou's resposibilities.

Wellink believe that managing our mental health well is one of the most important issues facing people and our communities today. Wellink works in partnership with mental health clinical services in the Wellington region to assist interested people who meet the eligibility criteria to access our services.
